float with me

down my stream of consciousness! woo!
my friends daniel and dustin and i were all chatting about how stream of consciousness conversations are so funny, and even funnier with me because i mutter, making things even more confusing. but when friends can follow you down that stream and float along, you realize what great friends they are! so get a floatie and jump in!

currently reading: blue like jazz, finally.
currently spinning: john mark mcmillan
current big prayer needs:
1. for there to be a subleaser for my apartment, this week
2. finances personally as well for my upcoming trip
3. overall for my upcoming trip

so, as my friends from appalachian are updating their twitters and statuses and blogs about the first day of classes and roommates and being back on campus, i'm realizing how freeing, and how strange, it is to not be doing that with them. but i can tell you what i am doing.

i'm getting ready to go to thailand and cambodia with my friend catherine. we'll be meeting up with our friend and missionary there, stef. it's going to be ... woah.

my internship consists of battling the sex slave trade. and i know that. i say that.

but in a week and a few days i'm going to see it right in front of my face.

wow.

part of my internship consists of keeping a pretty thorough blog on my thoughts and what's going on, etc.

so, i think i might call this blog finished for now, and it will go into the archive of past blogs. i've had this blog since 2007!! can you believe that? i'll let you know the link for the new blog as soon as i get it up and running!

sometimes i think i want to try and publish a short creative non-fiction piece.
and then, this EP project.
nashville, raleigh, elsewhere?
and what church here, now?
i'm really asking the Lord what he has for me, personally. i tend to look at what other people are doing with him, and wanting what they have.
good thing when we ask, he listens. REALLY!
